PURPOSE:To shorten a preprocessing time for the generation of a line segment by providing the three types of hardwares to execute the calculation of X- coordinate displacement, the calculation of Y-coordinate displacement and further, the calculation of size relation between a starting point and an ending point to the starting point and ending point of the line segment. CONSTITUTION:X-coordinate data, namely, a starting point X-coordinate and an ending point X-coordinate to be inputted to a differential arithmetic circuit element 10 are inputted to a computing element 13 and difference data dX are outputted. The difference data dX are inputted to a code inverting circuit 14 and inverted difference data dX are outputted. A ¦dX¦ is outputted by a select circuit 15 and a -¦dX¦ is outputted by a select circuit 16 respectively. On the other hand, Y-coordinate data, namely, a starting point Y-coordinate and an ending point Y-coordinate to be inputted to a differential arithmetic circuit element 20 are samely processed. Then, a ¦dY¦ is outputted by a select circuit 25 and a -¦dY¦ is outputted by a select circuit 26 respectively. Then, ¦dX¦-¦dY¦ is operated by a computing element 30 and a code SIGN is outputted. |
