The invention relates to a device for preparing cappuccino which can be used as an accessory device for an expresso machine equipped with a superheated-steam nozzle and can be coupled to the superheated-steam pipe of said machine. The superheated-steam nozzle is assigned an air-guiding device in such a way that the lower opening of the air-guiding device is arranged in front of the steam outlet opening for flushing around with superheated steam. The superheated-steam pipe has a hollow extension which is open towards the bottom and into which both the steam outlet opening and the lower opening of the air-guiding device lead. In this arrangement, a steam/air mixture is formed in the hollow space of the extension by sucking in air. This mixture can be led out through an outlet of the extension. To form a milk/steam/air mixture, the outlet of the extension is introduced into an external receptacle filled with milk. The upper opening of the air-guiding device is assigned a regulating device which influences the size of the opening cross-section. This regulating device is formed by the accessory device or by a part of the same. This is done in that the accessory device or one of its parts is detachably connected to the coupling of the superheated-steam pipe of the expresso machine. To form different opening cross-sections of the inlet of the air-guiding device, the parts are transferred into different positions, in particular angular positions.
