In a method and device for the internal cleaning of an insulating-glass pane, it is proposed that at least one opening is introduced into the glass of the insulating-glass pane, leading from the outside into the space between the panes, that an elongated cleaning member, which is flexible transversely to its longitudinal extent and consists at least partly of magnetisable material, is inserted through the opening, and that the cleaning member is drawn against the inner surface of the pane to be cleaned by means of a magnetic field which passes through the pane from outside and is movable over the surface of the pane, and is displaced over said inner surface of the pane.
