<p>PURPOSE: To provide a superconductive article having an operation temperature at 250 deg.K or lower by burying a large number of filaments made of a supercon ductor in a copper-enriched base material, wrapping the resultant body with a sheath material and a copper layer, forming an electric resistant layer on the surface, and then carrying out compressing process in a jacket. CONSTITUTION: A large number of filaments 2 made of a superconductor, for example Nb3 Sn, are buried in a core 3 which is rich with copper such as bronze and the resultant body is surrounded with a thin sheath 4 of tantalum. Then, the outer circumference of the resultant body is surrounded with a copper layer 5 having high conductivity, nickel oxide with high electric resistance value is deposited on the outer circumferential face, and the resultant body is put in a jacket made of a stainless steel and compressed to give a superconductive wire filament 1. In this case, as the nickel oxide, nickel oxide containing oxygen lower than the chemical stoichiometric value is used to give an ideal outer circumferential face. The thickness of the outer circumference is adjusted to be 1.5-20μm.</p> |
