A probe for three-dimensional scanning has in a housing a feeler element which is mounted therein capable of moving via a bearing device. The bearing device has on the feeler element a bearing body arrangement, which forms an approximately V-shaped notch with edges rising on both sides, and on the non-displaceable part, in particular the housing, likewise a bearing body arrangement which forms an approximately V-shaped notch with edges rising on both sides and whose respective V-peaks essentially lie on a common axis, which is coaxial with the longitudinal middle axis, and point in directions averted from one another. The two bearing body arrangements bear axially against one another, notch in notch, in the form of a cross and are held together by means of a resilient restoring force. Thus, pivoting movements of the feeler element in the X-Y plane, insertion movements in the Z-axis direction and also rotations of the feeler element about the Z-axis are respectively converted into essentially translatory movements and fed to a measuring element or detector for signal generation.
