PURPOSE:To carry out stepless regulation of feeding size of an outer covering by connecting a feeding belt suitably through a power transmission mechanism to a conveying means so as to interlock therewith and simultaneously providing a speed regulating means capable of stepless speed change in part of the power transmission mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A speed regulating means is formed by stretching a V-belt 42 around a V-pulley 40 fixed onto a shaft of a sprocket 33 and a V-pulley 41 on a shaft of a rotating drum 21 of a feeding belt 22, simultaneously supporting a regulation roller 43 with a supporting arm 44, rotating the arm 44 with advancing and retreating action of a screw shaft 48, changing the position of the roller 43 and varying the engaging diameter of the V-pulley 41 with the V-belt 42. Thereby, rotation ratio of both V-pulleys 40 and 41 is changed and speed of the drum 21, i.e., the belt 22 is regulated. The feeding speed of an outer covering (b), i.e., length of the outer covering (b) engaged with engaging bars 32 can be regulated by the above-mentioned speed regulating means. |
