In known regenerating burners for diesel particle filters a constant quantity of fuel is introduced into the burner and ignited during the burn-off process. As a result, particles can be burnt off the diesel particle filter only at a certain load, that is when the exhaust gas flow is in a predetermined ratio to the fuel quantity. The object of the invention is to set forth a control arrangement for the fuel feed, which avoids the known disadvantages.
