Improvements to tractor vehicles that can run on railway tracks with two traction-steering axles 1 with rubber wheels 3 and two axles 2 that can move vertically with railway wheels 14, movable axles 2 consisting of a central section 2a connected to suspension components and push rods and two end sections 2b each fitted with railway wheels 4 and pivoting on the said central section by means of individual fork 5 and bolt 6 assemblies; there being flexible components with variable modulus and a system with adjustable stops to adjust the minimum pivoting force necessary and the maximum possible recoil of the pivot; and there being two pneumatic air cushions 11 for the dynamic suspension of the movable axle 2 and to stiffen its lowest position. These vehicles are used to handle railway wagons and have the ability to travel over normal terrain and by rail, being mounted on rails or derailed at will. <IMAGE>
