In a rucksack with an adjustable carrying frame having a carrier plate (3) in which the upper ends of two carrying straps (6, 6') are held so as to be adjustable in height, to simplify the height adjustment it is proposed that the carrier plate (3) has two guides which extend symmetrically essentially in the direction of height adjustment, that a holding part (5, 5') for the upper end of the assigned carrying strap (6, 6') is guided displaceably in said guides so as to be adjustable and fixable in different height positions. <IMAGE>
