<p>PURPOSE:To lighten the head of a golfclub and to improve the abrasion resistance and the strength of the head by filling a metal, a resin, and either a fiber reinforcing metal or a fiber reinforced resin in a spongy ceramic. CONSTITUTION:The spongy ceramic having the shape of an iron head is manufactured by impregnating a resin foamed body head with a ceramic slurry and sintering it. The manufactured ceramic is impregnated with wax. Next, the ceramic is covered with a casting mold molding refractory. The covered refractory is sinthered and solidified, and the wax material is melt-removed or burn-removed. The metal is cast, and the metal is packed in the porous part of the spongy ceramic. After the spongy ceramic is cooled, the refractory is removed, the surface of the ceramic is polished, and the iron head composed of a spongy ceramic compound material is finished.</p> |
