Improvements to coupling devices, characterized by the provision of a casing which houses, integrally, the primary wheel (runner) and the secondary wheel, the primary wheel being independent of the casing in whose inside provision has been made for a filling antechamber which contains part of the oil in the rest position of the coupling device, which cavity is for retaining the oil at the start-up time in order subsequently to release it slowly once the driven machine has been started up. Finally, provision has been made for a coupling of special design which allows the interchangeability of the output shaft, making it possible for the coupling device to be used with a solid or hollow output shaft. <IMAGE>
