摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To facilitate the highly-interchangeable autotracking control by adding a tracking error signal obtained in a specified area of a track and a discrepant amt. covering until the end of the track, obtained by using a phase difference from an adjacent track as a reference phase difference and using this control signal for the tracking operation. CONSTITUTION:At the time of recording, an input signal is A/D-converted 10 and afterward processed with a digital signal processing 12, such as a data compression, interleaving and addition to the conversion 10, etc., and then modulated 14 appropriately to suit the magnetic recording, and consequently its signal is converted 16 into series and parallel in two systems, while a pilot signal is added to a leading part of the track, so as to carry out the recording them by heads A+ and A- or B+ and B-. At the time of reproducing, regenerative signals from the respective heads are amplified and afterward equalized in waveform by equalizers 18 and 22, and then clock components in the signals are detected 20 and 24 respectively to be regenerated by PLL circuits 26 and 28. Afterward, the reverse operation to what have done for recording is carried out, and after a serial-parallel converter 32, the demodulation 34 is performed. Subsequently, after processing 36, such as an error correction and deinterleaving, etc., the original digital signal is brought back to be outputted as analog image information.</p>
