PURPOSE:To improve the piling effect of the subject material, without deteriorating the max. picture density (Dmax.) of the material, by incorporating two kinds of specified compds. in the emulsion layer contd. in the material. CONSTITUTION:At least one kind of a compd. shown by formula I and at least one kind of a compd. shown by formula II are incorporated in the emulsion layer contd. in the photosensitive material. In formula I, A is a group capable of being released a group {(L1)v-B1}-(L2)w-B2 by allowing it to react with the exidant of a developing main agent at the time of developing the photosensitive material, (a), (v) and (w) are each 0 or 1, L1 and L2 are each a linking group capable of being released at the time of developing the material, B1 and B2 are each a residual group having an oxidation-reduction property which is reducible the oxidant of a developing main agent existing at the time of developing the material by being released from the groups L1 and L2. In formula II, M1 is a protective group of mercapto group capable of being released with hydrogen atom, etc., X is an atomic group necessary for forming a 5 - 6 membered heterocyclic ring, R is a straight chain or a branched chain alkylene group, etc., Y is a linking group -S-, etc., R' is hydrogen atom, etc., (n) is 0 or 1, (m) is 0, 1 or 2. Thus, the piling effect of the photosensitive material, without deteriorating the max. picture density (Dmax.) of the material, is improved. |
