PURPOSE:To enable printing equal in quality to that of a printer head of 48 pins to be performed by a method wherein a point changer capable of varying a position of a printer head of 24 pins slightly vertically to printing paper is provided. CONSTITUTION:In the case where a printer head 12 of 24 pins is considered to have printed with printer head pins 21, 22 at a location (a) in printing on a first time, the printer heads 21, 22 are transferred by a minute distance with a point changer 16 so as to be located at a position of a location (b) in printing on a second time and thereafter, printing is performed. As for this minute transfer distance l, a space between a change core 17 and the point changer 16 is actually controlled by actuation of ON and OFF of magnetic force. Though the space between the changer core 17 and the point changer 16 is held with a spring when the magnetic force is OFF, the change core 17 approaches the point changer 16 by a minute distance when ON. |
