A device for limiting the pressure in a hot-water heating system, having a pressure relief valve, of which the duct containing the valve seat can be connected by a first connection to a flow pipe and by a second connection to a return pipe, is characterised in that the pressure relief valve has at least one additional duct with connection which communicates with the first or second connection and is passed through by the full water stream. The fitting of the pressure relief valve in heating systems is thereby facilitated.
