发明名称 Joint soudé pour tube en matière synthétique
摘要 869,437. Welded tube joints. FISCHER A. G., G. Oct. 5, 1959 [Oct. 10, 1958], No. 33691/59. Class 99(1). A welded joint consists of one end of a tube 3, Fig. 2, fitted into and welded to the end of another tube 2 formed with a shoulder, both tubes being of thermo-plastic material, and a supporting ring 4 fitted inside the first tube to strengthen it, the ring being made of a material which softens, on heating, at a higher temperature than the thermo-plastic material of the pipes. To form the joint, the outer surface of tube 3 and the inner surface of tube 2 are heated by a member heated slightly above the welding temperature of the thermo-plastic material, and the end portion of tube 3 is pushed into tube 2, forming beads 5 and 6 due to the displacement of the softened material. As shown in Fig. 3, the supporting ring 7 has a collar 9 on its outer periphery, which when the end of tube 3 is pushed into tube 2 acts as a spacer between shoulder 11 and the end 10 of tube 3, forming an annular space 13 which receives the bead 12 of surplus material. The supporting ring may be of thermoplastic material or metal.
