PURPOSE:To provide the photosensitive body which has sensitivity to red light and has low toxicity by providing a photosensitive layer made of a selenium alloy contg. copper and indium as a charge generating material onto a substrate. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive layer made of the selenium alloy contg. the copper and indium as the charge generating material is provided on the substrate. The photosensitive layer is constituted of the selenium alloy contg. the copper and indium if the photosensitive layer is of a single layer structure and the charge generating layer is constituted of the selenium alloy contg. the copper and indium if the photosensitive layer is of a laminated structure. The content of the copper in such photosensitive layer is preferably 1 to 15wt.% and the content of the indium is preferably 2 to 30wt.%. The photosensitive body which has no toxicity and has the sensitivity to red light is obtd. in this way. |
