An improved magnetic armature for magnetically activated cir­cuit breakers. The armature being configured to provide a con­sistent engagement length between the armature and the contact operating mechanism of a circuit breaker. The armature also being configured to reduce the air gap distance between the ar­mature and the magnetic yoke of a circuit breaker.
