3-Amino-[1 benzazepin-2-one-1-alkanoic acids of formula (I), their isomers and salts are prepd. by the altylation of a cpd. of formula (II) with a cpd of formula RB-Z. Ra and Rb are each -CH (R1R0) or - CH (R2R0) [R0= COR6 or COR7; R6=R7=OH or lower alkoxy!; R1 is H, lower alkyl, aryl or arylakyl; R2 is H or lower altyl; R3 and R4 are each H, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, OH, halogen or CF3; R5 is H or lowr alkyl; X is oxo, 2H, H or OH; Z is OH. (I) are useful as inhibitorsof angiotensin converting enzyme. |
