PURPOSE:To facilitate quantitative injection of a working liquid and to stabilize the performance of a heat pipe, by providing a thin tube for measuring working liquid on a container for forming a heat pipe, and positioning the brazed part below an intended horizontal level. CONSTITUTION:A container 1 is held vertical while being cooled with cooling water 12 and a thin tube 6 for measuring working liquid opens downward. When superheated vapor 13 of the working liquid is sent in through a thin working liquid injection tube under this condition, air in the container 1 is discharged by vapor pressure through the thin tube 6 for measuring working liquid. The vapor 13 cooled on the inner wall of the container 1 is condensed to liquid and accumulated on the bottom of the container. When the accumulated and distillated working liquid 15 arrives at the level of open end in the container of the thin tube 6 for measuring working liquid, the working liquid flows in or sucked to the open end and spouts out of the container. The distillated working liquid can be replaced with a pure working liquid by continuing spray of the working liquid for a specified time. After the lapse of specified maintaining time, the thin measuring tube and thin injecting tube are sealed airtightly by welding the outside of the container. |
