The 2-part housing comprises 2 half shells (3, 4) which are joined together via an internal locking element (8) cooperating with locking points (1) provided by both shells (3, 4). The locking points (1) are snap-fitted into place when the 2 half shells (3, 4) are fitted together. Pref. the locking element (8) has 2 opposing ends which fit into respective locking slots in the 2 half shells (3, 4), to join the latter together, with a further end (23) of the locking element (8) coupled to a hearing aid switch (5). ADVANTAGE - Eliminates need for fixing screws.
