PURPOSE:To obtain the image data of a card-shape medium without receiving the influence of the distortion of the card and the fluctuation of a card feed rate by reading the image data by driving an image reader whenever it is detected that the card-shaped medium is carried for a prescribed distance. CONSTITUTION:A detecting head 10 of a card-shaped medium position detecting means 11 is provided close to the middle of a carrying path 7, and a detected signal is sent to an image reader driving signal control means 12 and an image reader driver 13 and drives an image reader 20. The image of the card-shaped medium is read by the image reader 20 in this manner whenever the card-shaped medium is carried for the prescribed distance. Thus, even when the rate to carry the card-shaped medium fluctuates because of the deformation of the card-shaped medium, etc., the title processor is never influenced and can record the image data of a transaction medium to be requested as a transaction record on a recording medium without any distortion. |
