<p>PURPOSE:To provide the color filter having plastic stripes which are excellent in a flattening property and light shielding property by coating the surface of a transparent substrate with a specific dyeable radiation sensitive resin and developing the resin by irradiation of radiations from the rear side of the transparent substrate, then dyeing the resin with a black anionic dye. CONSTITUTION:The surface of the substrate is coated with the dyeable radiation sensitive resin contg. a copolymer of vinyl lactams (a), a monomer (b) which has a quaternary amine structure and has a polymerizable unsatd. bond and (meth)acrylate (c). The resin is then developed by irradiation of radiations from the rear surface side of the transparent substrate and is then dyed with the black anionic dye so that the parts except display picture elements are coated with the black film. The component (a) is exemplified by N-vinyl lactams such as N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone and is more preferably N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone. The component (b) is exemplified by a compd. obtd. from combinations of 2-methacryloyloxy ethyltrimethoxyammonium, etc., and inorg. anion species or org. anion species, etc. The component (c) is exemplified by methyl acrylate, methyl methacrylate, etc. The color filter which has the excellent light shielding property and has the well flattened surface is obtd. in this way even if the film is thin.</p> |
