<p>PURPOSE: To accurately mix predetermined quantities of a solvent and a solute in an aseptic condition by sending the solvent in a container to the solute in a chamber of a flexible vessel by operating a manually operable valve member. CONSTITUTION: An intravenous fluid mixing dispenser is provided with the reservoir 20 provided with a chamber 23 storing a prescribed quantity of a liquid under pressure, the flexible vessel 26 provided with the chamber containing a prescribed quantity of a material to be blended with the liquid and a conduit tube 72 extending between the two chambers. By operating the manually operable valve member 16 joined into the conduit tube 72, both chambers are controllably connected together to flow the liquid into the chamber of the flexible vessel 26 and the liquid is blended with the material. Further, the liquid is carried from the vessel 26 to a patient by an outlet conduit tube 18 extending from the vessel 26. Consequently accurate blending of the predetermined quantities of the solvent and the solute in a perfectly aseptic state can be guaranteed.</p> |
