Automatic signal analysis method in an industrial servosystem and device to bring this method into operation, the method consisting in automatically analysing characteristic signals such as loop return signals or the intensity of the current driving the direct servochain by proceeding with the cyclic injection, at the input of the system, of a predetermined signal e(t); in recording following these reference signal injections during an initial phase during which the functioning is considered to be correct on recording the response of the system to breakdown simulations; in recording characteristic signals of the system during automatic monitoring phases consecutive to the signal injection cycles; in analysing the characteristic signals by comparison with the reference signals then with the responses to breakdown simulations; and in the event of the commencement of a breakdown, in the signalling of a functioning anomaly and in the determination of this anomaly.
