PURPOSE:To easily and instantaneously change the picture quality and picture density, and to properly keep the picture density by changing the position of the napping height regulating section of a magnet body to magnetic poles. CONSTITUTION:A magnet body 5 which is provided inside a rotationally-driven developing sleeve 3 and in which plural magnetic poles extended in the axial direction of the sleeve 3 are arranged in the circumferential direction of the sleeve 3 in a facing state, napping height regulating section 8 which is arranged in the axial direction of the sleeve 3 and faced to the outer peripheral surface of the sleeve 3 at a prescribed interval and, at the same time, is set in a state where the section 8 can move in the circumferential direction of the sleeve around the axis of the sleeve 3, switching means 14, 15, and 17 which change the position of the section 8, etc., are provided. When the position of the napping height regulating section 8 to the magnet body 5 is changed by means of the means 14, etc., the quantity of the developing agent passed through the front end of the section 8 and carried on the sleeve 3 is changed. Therefore, the concentration of the developing agent can be controlled accurately, responsibility can be improved, and the picture density can be maintained appropriately. |
