PURPOSE:To improve the adhesion and fixing of an image supporting body and an image forming layer by removing unnecessary metals from a metallic layer as the image forming layer on the outer side of a cylindrical sleeve in the form of mesh or the like by using a metal photomechanical process. CONSTITUTION:A heat shrinkable film is brought into tight contact with the outer periphery of the cylindrical sleeve 1 in the form of the mesh, etc., as the image supporting body by heating. The 1st metal 3 etchable by an etching soln. which does not etch the metal of the sleeve 1 surface and the metal of the image forming layer is deposited by a plating method on the inside surface of the cylindrical body consisting of a film and sleeve. The inside surface of the film exclusive of the contact part between the sleeve 1 and the film 2 and the sleeve surface are coated with the 1st metal. The film 2 is then removed and the 2nd metallic layer 4 as the image forming layer is deposited and formed by a plating method on the outside surface of the cylindrical body consisting of the sleeve 1 which is made to remain and the plated 1st metal 3 part. Only the 1st metal is then removed by etching. The meshed cylinder as the image supporting body is easily and cleanly adhered and fixed to the cylindrical metallic layer as the image forming layer in this way. |
