A control panel for vehicles has a transparent light-transmitting element interposed between a rear screen and a front screen which has transparent regions (4a) for defining symbols or signs on the panel. The panel has associated control sliders (C) which can slide in slots (7) each of which has a side region which faces an edge of the transparent element so that the slot is illuminated substantially throughout its length.
