The square tent (1) is folded and held taut along radial lines (2,17) from its centre. Adjacent lines include an angle of 22.5 deg. and four of them (3,7,11,15) pass through the corners. It also folds or is held taut along four of the sides (18-21) of the regular octagon inscribed in the square, and can be held taut along the sides of the latter. There can be a sliding-clasp fastener (26) etxending along a line at right angles to one of the sides from its mid-point. ADVANTAGE - Wide adaptability.
