MANUFACTURE OF EXPANSION JOINT FOR JOINING PIPE

摘要

PURPOSE:To manufacture an expansion joint efficiently by manufacturing annular members having sectional form of bisected omega by forming a pair of perforated metallic disks by hot pressing using dies provided with heaters, and joining the members by welding. CONSTITUTION:A pair of perforated disks 2 are manufactured by cutting two metallic plates 1. These perforated disks 2 are hot-pressed by a pressing machine using a punch and a die, and annular members 5 having sectional form of bisected omega are manufactured. These annular members 5 are welded after groove working and an expansion joint A having omega-shaped sectional form is obtained.
