The display stand has at least one vertical upright (2) and a number of spaced horizontal bars (3) over which the newspapers or magazines can be draped. Pref. the stand has a pair of spaced uprights each of which is attached to a base foot (1) to project from the latter of an angle between 60 and 90 deg. The horizontal bars extend between the uprights at regular spacings (9). The top of each upright is pref. fitted with a flexible pipe (7) supporting a light (8) which is supplied via a cable passed through the flexible pipe and the hollow upright. ADVANTAGE - Simple compact, yet eye-catching display allowing ready perusal or exchange of copies.
