PURPOSE:To control the height of a shift lever as well as the direction of a shift knob, by forming the shift levers independently at the control and working side respectively and at the same time by securing the mutual fitting slidably and twistably. CONSTITUTION:A clamp nut 32 is unscrewed to release the clamping of the 2nd shift lever 5 due to a chuck 33, and the lever 5 is set free to the chuck 33. Therefore a shift lever SL can be easily and smoothly controlled to a desired height by moving up and down the lever 5 by a prescribed extent. At the same time, the direction of a knob 13 can be easily and smoothly controlled as desired by turning properly the lever 5. Then the lever 5 is fixed by screwing strong the nut 32 into the screw part 31 of the 1st shift lever 4. As a result, a driver can obtain an optimum driving position coincident with each control feeling in terms of the shift lever of an automatic converter. |
