PURPOSE:To stop the display waveform on a display surface and to record the data readily by providing a transfer stopping means which stops the operation of a transfer means that transfers the data of a waveform memory to a display memory. CONSTITUTION:This device is composed of a transmitting part 3, a receiving part 4, a waveform memory 6, a display part 15 and a display memory 16m. When an echo from a body to be inspected is received in the receiving part 4, the data are sampled at a specified period. The results are stored in the waveform memory 6 in the order of addresses. When the data stored in the memory 6 are displayed on a display part 15, the address in the memory 6 is selected based on the number of the addresses in the display memory 16m and the measuring range of the echo waveform. The address is transferred into the memory 16m. The data recorded in the memory 16m are displayed. When the recording is performed, the transfer of the data from the memory 6 to the memory 16m is stopped with a transfer stopping means. In this way, the data which are transferred at the last time are stored in the memory 16m, and the data are continued to be displayed. |
