Azolyl cycloalkanol derivs. of formula (I) and their salts are prepd. by reacting cycloakane of formula (II) with a cpd. of formula RZ. In the formulas, R=lower alkyl, Ph, benzyl, tienyl or naphthyl substd. by halogen; Y=methyne or nitrilo; n= 2 or 3; Z=halo-Mg or alkali metal; when R is (halogeno)phenyl, then azolyl and hydroxy are cis orientation. (I) are useful as an agricultural antibacterial agent.
