PURPOSE:To easily form a composite image without using a semiconductor memory by superimposing and shifting plural originals placed in parallel on an original platen on a photosensitive body, reading them in order and forming a composite image by an image exposing and a reversal developing method. CONSTITUTION:Detecting members 27 such as a white board of the photosensitive body 9 are detected by a reflection sensor 26, and the entire surface of the photosensitive body is electrified by an electrifier to perform reversal development. Then, images of a first original placed in parallel on the original platen is read based on detection of the sensors 26, and a latent image is formed on the photosensitive body 9 by exposing an image part. A second signal is read at prescribed shift timing, based on the detection of the sensors 26, when the photosensitive body 9 rotates consecutively, and the latent image of the second original is superimposed and formed in the part of the photosensitive body 9, where no latent image is formed, and which is maintained at a high potential. Ultimately, both latent images are developed reversely. By this method, a composite image is easily and satisfactorily formed without using the semiconductor memory. |
