PURPOSE:To perform high-sensitivity, stable measurement of minute current caused by the increase in oxygen due to decomposition of peroxide by using an oxygen electrode as a substrate electrode, and mounting a catalase fixing film on the electrode through an enzyme oxide fixing film. CONSTITUTION:Enzyme oxide which reacts with a substrate and consumes oxygen is fixed to an enzyme-oxide fixing film 8a. The film 8a and a catalase fixing film 9 are sequentially mounted on the detecting end of an oxygen electrode 7. A base solution 11 comprising 0.1-M phosphoric acid buffer (pH is 6.8) in injected into a cell 12. The detecting end of a hydrogen peroxide electrode 1 is immersed in the cell 12. A constant voltage generator, an ammeter and a recorder are connected to the electrode 1, and measurement is performed. In this way, the hydrogen peroxide at a 1ppm level can be measured simply and stably. Therefore, said electrode can be well applied to the checking of the hydrogen peroxide remaining in foods. |
