PURPOSE:To effectively sterilize the whole air in a room with a simple construction by sterilizing air by metallic ions of metallic air-contacting substances that are furnished in an independent sterilizing chamber, building the room to be controlled adjacent to the sterilizing chamber, and forcibly circulating or introducing-exhausting the sterilized air to and from the room. CONSTITUTION:A sterilizing chamber 3 is built adjacent to a room 2 to be controlled, and separated by a partition wall 8 on the outside of the room 2. Metallic air-contacting substances 4 are formed into panel-like shapes having a permeability, and silver-plated on their surfaces to form metallic air-contacting surfaces, thereby air is sterilized by ions. The sterilizing chamber 3 is divided by the metallic air-contacting substances 4 at adequate distances. A first connecting path 5 connects the room 2 to be controlled and the independent sterilizing chamber 3 through a duct 13, and a second connecting path 6 has an opening 14 and a filter 15 on the partition wall 8 between the room and the chamber. An air supply unit 17 is built in the duct 13 of an air conditioning system 7 so as to forcibly send and circulate air in the direction of the room 2 to be controlled the first connecting path 5 the independent sterilizing chamber 3 the second connecting path 6 the room 2 to be controlled. |
