PURPOSE:To obtain the optical disk which has a high reflectivity and excellent economy by providing a reflecting film consisting of laminated films of an Au film and Al film. CONSTITUTION:This optical disk has a transparent substrate 1 formed with recording pits 4 on the surface and the reflecting film provided on the surface. The reflecting film consists of the Au film 2 of 50 to 500Angstrom film thickness provided on the surface of the transparent substrate and the Al film 3 of 20 to 600Angstrom film thickness provided on the Au film. The thickness of the Au film in the reflecting film is preferably about 100 to 300Angstrom and the thickness of the Al film is preferably 50 to 40Angstrom , more particularly preferably about 100 to 300Angstrom . The high reflectivity is attained in this way be the laminated films formed by using the Au film of the film thickness smaller than the film thickness in case of using the Au film alone. |
