PURPOSE:To positively prevent the occurrence of speed change shock resulted from erroneous learning, and thereby assume proper control in line pressure at all times by prohibiting learning control in line pressure during the shifting operation of an automatic transmission when the output torque of a prime mover is changed. CONSTITUTION:An automatic transmission B connected with an engine A selects a specified each step of gear shifting by letting every kind of frictional element C of a speed change gear mechanism be hydraulically actuated selectively by line pressure D. And the line pressure D during the shifting operation of the automatic transmission B is controlled in learning by a means E in such a way that the actually measured time of inertia phase time is consistent with a target value. And the output torque of the engine A during the shifting operation is changed by a means F. In the constitution set forth herein above, a change in output torque by the means F is detected by a means G. And when the change in output torque is detected, the learning control in line pressure assumed by the means E is prohibited by a means H. |
