<p>PURPOSE:To improve productivity by constructing a vibration control device disposed on the upper portion of a steering shaft so that a weight is supported on the boss side fixing portion through an elastic support and clamping and fixing the elastic support and the weight by use of a substantially U-shaped clamp. CONSTITUTION:In a vibration control device 31 installed on a boss portion 11 disposed in the central portion of a steering wheel, a substantially rectangular parallelopiped metallic weight 32 is formed by providing a circular opening portion 33 in the central portion thereof and providing shallow engaging recess portions 34 in the respective centers of both sides, which are extended through the upper surface and the side to the lower surface. In each recess portion 34, further an engaged recess portion 35 triangular in section is formed on the inner end portion of the recess portion 34. The weight 32 is supported on a pressing plate 56 on a boss plate 21 through plural elastic supports 41 formed by an elastic body like rubber. In this case, the elastic supports 41 and the weight 32 are connected by U-shapede clamps 46 having an engaging portion 50 which can be freely engaged with engaged recess portions 35.</p> |
