PURPOSE:To freely and easily set an area reflecting the spade filter processing result by masking the processing result with a mask whose shape is freely set by an operator. CONSTITUTION:The mean value of each picture element and picture elements around it in a processing object area is found and the picture element value of the picture element is substituted with the mean value, thereby performing the space filter processing. The mask setting step where the mask having a desired shape is set by operator's instruction and the mask processing step where the space filter processing result is masked by the set mask are provided. Thus, the shape of the area reflecting the processing result is freely and easily designated and set. |
