PURPOSE:To prevent the accumulation of residual potential of the subject body at a high temp. and humidity by incorporating a specified binder polymer in an electric charge generating layer. CONSTITUTION:The sensitive body comprises the electric charge generating layer (A) and an electric charge transfer layer (B) mounted on a conductive substrate, and a coreactive polyvinyl acetal resin having structural units shown by formulas I-III is incorporated in the body as the binder of the layer A. In the formulas, R1 and R2 are each an aliphatic group or hydrogen atom. The resin contg. a structural unit shown by formula IV may be further incorporated in the components of the body in an amount of less than a prescribed amount. The electric charge generating substance contg. in the layer A is composed of phthalocyanines or an azo pigment, etc. The layer B may be composed of a prescribed additive in addition to an electric charge transfer material such as hydrazone derivatives, etc., and the binder such as polycarbonate, etc. |
