The electron gun for converging the 3 way electron beams uniformly on the screen includes 4 electrodes (12-15) placed at the front of a cathode (11), and an auxiliary electrode placed between the third (14) and forth (15) electrodes. The auxiliary electrode has three electron beam holes (21A-C) of which central hole (21B) is longer than the other holes (21A,21C) so that deflection field generated around the holes become uniform and the electron beams passed through the holes are converged at a certain spot of the screen.
