PURPOSE:To improve line operating efficiency and to attain high speed facsimile communication by providing a packet processing section converting a facsimile message of a FAX connecting to an analog I/F into a packet and sending/ receiving a data through a signal channel to/from a line. CONSTITUTION:A packet processing section 19 is provided which send a message of a storage section 17 as a packet at the line transmission, receives a packet of the signal channel at the reception and stores it into the storage section 17. The analog I/F 6 applies call setting with a FAX 11, a MODEM 15 modulates/demodulates a facsimile message, stores the result in the storage section 17, the packet processing section 19 uses the facsimile message stored in the storage section 17 as a packet, which is sent to the signal channel at the line transmission and the packet processing section 19 receives the packet of the signal channel, stores it in the storage section 17 and sends the facsimile message to the FAX 11. |
