PURPOSE:To eliminate a density irregularity in an image by rotating a toner control rod intermittently or continuously and holding it at the tip part of a control member. CONSTITUTION:A bent holding part 6a is provided to the tip part of the control member 6, the toner control rod 7 is held on this holding part 6a, and the toner control rod 7 is rotated intermittently as a developing roller 51 rotates and stops. Therefore, when toner 4 which is supplied to the outer peripheral surface of the developing roller 51 is pressed, the toner control rod 7 rotates in contact with the control member 6, etc., to remove the stuck toner 4 by the control member 6, etc., even if the toner 4 sticks on the toner control rod 51. Consequently, a toner layer is formed uniformly on the surface of the developing roller 51 without any irregularity and an image of good quality is obtained stably. |
