PURPOSE:To keep homogeneity by providing a partition plate in a mixing vessel, separating the obtained granular mixture into layers, and discharging the mixture. CONSTITUTION:An optical glass material 19 is charged into a mixer 10 from its inlet 12, the inlet 12 is closed, and the mixer 10 is rotated to mix the material. The inlet 12 is then opened, and a specified amt. of the mixed glass material 19 is discharged layer by layer from the top with the use of a scoop or vacuum. The mixed glass material 19 is not circulated toward an outlet 14, and gravity separation is not caused by the circulation of the granular mixture. The molded article of the glass material 19 which has been discharged layer by layer in the specified amt. has a fixed refractive index. Consequently, the mean value of the granular mixture can be accurately and easily obtained. |
