METHOD FOR FORMING CREASE IN PART OF BAND PLATE

PURPOSE:To form creases of desired size in a part of bandlike edge in the direction of width by rolling the edge of a band plate in the direction of width and generating a part in which distortion in the direction of rolling changes suddenly. CONSTITUTION:Two rolls 4A that can roll both edges of a band plate 1 by rolling parts 4a are provided in parallel on both sides of the band plate 1. The band plate 1 is sent in the direction of arrow and both edges are rolled by rolling parts 4a of rolls 4A, and sudden change is generated in distorsion in the direction of rolling along the width of the band plate 1. By this way a formed product 3A having crease 2 can be formed. By controlling the amount of sudden change controlling rolling down force, creases 2 of desired size can be formed.
