<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate an offset at a focus error signal to be detected by forming an opening at a photodetector for a sensor, and so positioning a light emitting element at the opening that a light emitted from the front face of the element passes the opening. CONSTITUTION:An aperture 12 formed at a photodetector 11 for a sensor is formed by a semiconductor process such as a photocomposing, an etching, etc. When the detector 11 is secured to an insulating plate 4, a current flows to a semiconductor laser element 3 to allow it to emit a light. The aperture 12 is positioned with respect to the element 3 while monitoring the optical intensity, optical intensity distribution, etc., of a luminous flux A passing the aperture 12 formed at the photodetector 11, by a CCD camera or the like to be secured to the plate 4, thereby setting the relative positional accuracy between the element 3 of a light emitting element and a photodetector 50 of a photoreceiver to substantially similar accuracy to the relative positional accuracy between the aperture 12 and the photodetector 50.</p> |
