PURPOSE:To obtain an optical recording medium stable against an environmental light and repeated reproduced light by providing a recording layer made of cyanine colorant and diole metal complex salt compound of naphthalene-1- azobenzene on a board. CONSTITUTION:Mixture solution (20mg/ml of concentration) wherein, cyanine colorant and metal complex represented by a formula I are mixed at the ratio of 9:1 by weight in methylethylketone solution is applied by a spin coater, and the coated matter is dried to obtain an optical recording medium 3.
