<p>PURPOSE:To obtain high-purity oxygen having >=95.5% oxygen concentration by bringing air rich in oxygen adsorbed on specific molecular sieve carbons into contact with sodium faujasite and adsorbing nitrogen. CONSTITUTION:Air pressurized to <=3 atmospheric pressure by a compressor 2 is sent through a dehumidifying and CO2 desorbing column 4, cooled to <=25 deg.C by a refrigerator 18, introduced to adsorbing columns 8a and 8b packed with molecular sieve carbons 9a and 9b having 4.1-4.5Angstrom window diameter and showing selective adsorption of nitrogen at room temperature and selective adsorption of oxygen at low temperature to adsorb O2 and N2 and Ar are discharged from a line 16 to the outside of the system. On the other hand, the pressure of the adsorbing columns 8a and 8b having adsorbed O2 is reduced to 0.08-0.5atm, recovered air rich in oxygen containing no Ar is introduced through a flow channel 19 to adsorbing columns 22a and 22b packed with sodium faujasites 23a and 23b shown by the formula Na-X, N2 is adsorbed under <=atmospheric pressure to <=3atm at <=25 deg.C, high-purity oxygen is discharged from a line 32. On the other hand, pressure of the adsorbing column 22a having adsorbed N2 is reduced to 0.08-0.5atm and N2 is released and recovered.</p> |
